My 64 202 Post $PIT

Post by GrumpyBobby »

Well for the longest the dream of a 64/65 Comet danced around my mind. Project after project until one came up on CL. Resto was not the goal, FE Power and stick management was. Still aloof in the concept/parts vs $$$ jungle, she is at rest on blocks in the driveway. After the initial cut it was on, and so it goes at the affordable pace.

Cool, keep us updated. What can you tell us about your FE?
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

Well the body on the opposite side is not so nice LOL. But it's a project so it's just more to do. FE is coming together slowly. The one in the pict is a 390 from a 65 Marauder. Only thing being used from it is the valve covers :) The engine is replacing the 352 in my 66 F100 ......someday runs so well after rebuild it's hard to consider pulling it.

Small Block Cal Customs, Cast VCs

worth about 50.00-80.00 on ebay in great condition.....caught some attention back when, now sought after somewhat. None of the offers i have received so far have me parting with them. Kind of leaning towards keeping the 289/3spd Toploader/8.8 package for a butt ugly ratrod project down the road. LOL
