Ratical;I took the gas door off because I put my master cut-off switch on a plate that covers where the fill neck went.I have a fuel cell and dual batteries in the trunk[along with some huge wheel tubs].I keep thinking of moving my cut-off switch and putting the door back on.All those Comets, except mine[although mine is licensed and insured],are daily drivers, especially Glen's black 65 Caliente. After the show we blasted over to a burger joint for lunch,TOO COOL. ROY.

popscomet;it is OK as long as the burger joint isn't too far!!!!!!It may be licensed and insured but it is NOT street friendly!!!!! ROY.

YA but you could probably coast pretty far after getting through the intersection!!!
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

the 65 post is something i have been wanting to see. i have been wondering what it would look like without the trim between the tail lights. there is a bunch of trim that can look messy if everything is not aligned correctly or wavy. i even thought about moving the "C O M E T" letters cown to that area with the "M" on the gas cap cover. i think this would be a neat little custom and still keep much of an original look.

ROY,never thought to bring it up,but my comet is from CALF.,I bought it shortly after it got in ARK.THE CALF. lic was still on the bumpers.thats reason for o rust ,plus several times a yr. I put it up on the lift and pressure wash the bottom side[as i do all my cars and trks].the CAL lic"s were hanging on a nail at my old shop.it's no bigg-ee.I just thought of it. POP
