Re: Ryan's 65 Cyclone build
Ryan, color looks great, I can imagine how excited you are! Ten years is a long haul for first paint. Is that a base coat with a clear on already, or a gloss paint? I admire your patience! It will still be a ways down the road, but make sure you use a lot of masking tape on the underside of hood if (when) you cut out the opening.
Roy, thanks for your info and pics, should be exactly what Peps will end up with. You can't imagine the remodel job we had to do on Kelly's header's for his install. They were made by FPA, (beautiful, but for Mustang )the front tube on the drivers side is now the rear tube!! Wish I was better at posting pics, you would get a chuckle out of them....so much for equal length headers! We needed to clear the Mustang2 crossmember and motor mounts, as well as the shaft to the rack and the QT housing. I'm bringing the headers to the CarCraft Summer Nats in St. Paul this weekend to get them ceramic coated. Not sure which vendor to use yet, but several will be there. Cary

Re: Ryan's 65 Cyclone build
Cary;sometimes it takes backyard engineering to make stuff work!!Everybody says Mustang headers will work,NOT,I used the flanges and about 6 inches of tube on the Mustang 351W swap headers for a Mustang that everyone said would fit,not even close!!!! ROY.

Hey Cary, it's base coat and clear coat. Thanks for the tip on the masking tape.

Still at the paint shop. Anxious to see it and get it back home myself. But certainly don't want to rush my paint guy. Plus it's allowing me to get my garage in order! I will definitely post some pics when I get her home.

Good evening all........ Where does time go? It's been a bit since i've posted any pics. Just wanted to get you all caught up on how the Cyclone is coming along. So here are a few pics. Fired the engine for the first time this past weekend. What a great feeling (and sound) that was! Happy New Year to everyone.
