I received some goodies from Ken also & have been proudly racing with the # plate on since, I have also fitted another # plate to the Merc truck too, now I just have to attach a flag pole to the truck to hoist the flag, last meet we had a 2 car team, a guy I work with has a 68 cougar. John

John....that is one good lookin' Comet!

Al....my wife and I were in England a few years ago, and I was driving a rental car (what an experience!). I stopped in Bath to ask a cop directions, and when I walked back to the car I automatically went to the left side. I opened the door and there sat my wife! It startled me so, I guess I jumped. When I turned around, the cop was laughing his butt off.

It looks great in photos but is starting to show its age, you can see all the stone chips on the front, its been on the road for 25yrs & never been in a garage until a few years ago, but outside again while I build my ranchero, its time will come for a fresh coat of paint, its been a great month of racing, 4 meets in 5 weeks, I have travelled about 5000 miles this year running the National Drag series.

Jim, what has happened here with a few guys I know driving LHD cars, when they get pulled over by police for a alcohol breath test they test the passenger not noticing where the driver is sitting.

I second that thought. Also, is there a place here in the states that sells the Mercury license plate like the one on Aussie's car. I googled Mercury plates but came up empty.
