Ripper, Groover and John thank you!
I have parts scattered everywhere and it’s nice to finally see them come together.

Decided on fiberglass full pin-on hood and trunk lid as well as glass bumpers and brackets from http://UP22.com -good, bad or ugly!
The car is going to be only for the road course track so I can’t justify paying premium cash for nicer parts. My buddy the body guy is fairly confident he can make any turd ‘glass part look decent so I ain’t scared!

If I can get the engine started by end of year I will be one happy dude!! :D

Thanks man! Not sure with what organization I’ll be tracking it so I don’t know about the rules on fiberglass. I do know I have no intention on being competitive. More like a weekend track day car. There’s a big Cobra owners club out here that rents out Willow Springs 2 to 3 times a year. Lots of Cobras Mustangs Shelby’s and some Falcons and Comets too. Those guys aren’t slow but it’s a relaxed environment. In fact tomorrow is their last meet of the year.
That’s the plan. Some year.

The Falcons low tech heads-up display. Decided on Autometer traditional style gauges.
I’d like to keep the aux gauges high so I could actually see them.

They’re at the center of the dash. Try clicking on the pic - I think it got cropped somehow.

Here’s one of my boy with the Falcon. He’s about to turn 9

And I got a set of black painted Dougs headers for standard trans

Next I’m going to set the engine and trans in then run the brake and fuel lines.
I’d like to have it started soon.

Some progress on the Falcon-
Got the engine and trans installed. Doug’s headers in and the side exhaust is hung but not secured.
Still need to run a fuel line and electrical to get it fired.

I built some wood blocks for it to keep it raised for the belly work. No lift here amigos...that would be too easy!

Side exhaust is hung. I need some clamps and hangers to finish it up.

And a couple of my little minions for Pop!

The boys 9 and my little lady is 7. They’re great kids! I’m a lucky dad :D
