I had the exhaust shop run 2 1/4" tubing dual exhaust all the way to the back with factory looking turn downs. They ran an "H" just aft of the trans crossmember. Its tight, and if my trans has to come out unscheduled Id have to cut the pipes...or pull the motor first. Goofy but I have faith in the little C4.
Sounds good with factory Maverick V8 manifolds and Thrush Turbos.

If you need pics let me know...Ill get her up on jack-stands and get a few shots.

Built C4's are tough!
A buddy back where I'm from has a 377W
in a 64-5 Falcon running 10.90-11.0
and the C4 been untouched for yrs.
But, was built good to start with.
I'd rather do it myself!! if it's done right or not!
Isn't that hotroddin?

Back on track, I also have 2.25 exhaust and with the car empty I can just get a 2x4 on edge under the exhaust.
The x is under the tailshaft and yoke.
I scuff it the odd time and hit stuff when I don't pay attention.
4 people in,,,looks great but
exhaust drags easy.
V6's don't do deep throaty so I put quiet mufflers on it.
