5.0 Head Bolt Question

Post by Lip Ripper »

I ordered a new set of bolts for my 93 GT motor. It has two bolt's with stud's on top. They appear to be extra. The bottom right front head bolt has the stud on top but I cannot for the life of me remember if it served a purpose before I tore it down. Any idea's?

I don't remember that on mine. The mains have that but drawing a blank other than for mounting something on the outside of the head which I wouldn't know anything about anyways since I would have never had that on my 62 anyways.

Just looked my buddy's for you and his has them but we decided it's only for on a efi motor specific to the car that the motor came out off for mounting. Wish I could tell for what but we can't remember either.
