67 caliente drivetrainswap.
I want to put a built 351w C4 in my 67. It has an 8in. but I will probley use a 9in. What kind of header fits. Are fairlane header swaps work on a 67 comet. If I can find the right donner car I will try for a 9in..This car is for cruising and a little adrenaline rush now and then. Appreciate any help thanks.

Identical to the sister Fairlane.
And the 8 inch is under rated.

by all means are the 8in rear gears under rated. I ran 1 under a mustang, with 8in slicks and a 4spd on the drag strip,,never tore it up.I have a 9in for my comet, but it ain't worth the work to change the 8in that's under it now.....a lot of street rods run 8in's,,they are easier to come by ..but it boils down to whatever a man want's or think he has to have......AND,a man can tear up an ANVIL,if he tries hard e'nuff

I have a 1973 351W in my 67 Caliente. It has Sanderson Street Rod small block headers. Fit is good. I have Edelbrock heads with angled plugs.

As Stacey said, Fairlanes those years were same-same...so Fairlane headers will do! With an auto & street tires the 8” will be fine. I’d make sure my rear springs & shocks are in good shape. Wheel hop has popped more 8” pinions vs. about anything else!
