Good Day All,

So I finally got the car looked all over today after importation/approval here in Austria (EU). Good news was that I have reasonable oil pressure for what is a non-fresh 5 bolt 289 (20 psi when hot at idle, going up to 45-47 when revved) but the bad was a wobbly harmonic balancer:



My question is: do all early 289 balancers have a three bolt pulley?

Yes all 289's had 3 bolt balancers

Thanks Johno - that seems to be the general view. Anything to avoid having to send parts back and forth from the US to the EU and vice versa, lol.

Summit Racing (house brand) & Professional Products both make decent, affordable balancers that accommodate 3 & 4 bolt crank pulleys...around $100 bucks.

Yep, I probably will order from them.
