Go with a Holley 0-1848-1 vaccum secondary 465cfm 4bbl carb with the Edelbrock Performer 289 intake

Called and ordered new 4bl set up. Went with Holley 1848-1 and edelbrock 2121 manifold along with installation kit. I want to thank everyone for their help. So now I wait for my order to show up. Gona try sticking with original green dot trany for now we will see how this works out. After that I've got to tackle rear end Assembly. Think I might need to stock up on bandaids.lol

Good choice, Forgot to mention but it was mentioned in the article I posted. This carb does NOT have a PCV port. You will need to obtain a 1" spacer with PVC

port or this one...

Good choice!

the 600 edelbrock works the best on my stock 302 f100. They seem to handle the modern gas ( camel pee) better than the two holleys I rebuilt and tuned. The holleys worked better on premium, Edelbrock likes all gas. Note all carbs are used ,rebuilt.
