Seats/brackets

Post by -Rudy- »

I'm sure this has been answered in the past but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Was wondering if aftermarket seat brackets from a 65-66 mustang would fit in my 63, reason being I've been looking at some seats from TMI and didn't know if they'd fit or not. I currently have what appear to be buckets from a late 60s or early 70s mustang just judging by the shape and height, but I don't know if I like them or not.

Thanks in advance!

I assume you mean seat tracks not brackets. If memory serves me right falcon/comet tracks are 14" whereas mustang tracks ar 12". Won't bolt directly in but could be adapted by drilling one new hole on each.
Later buckets probably have built in head rests so wouldn't look the same.

Ron,

You're right I meant the tracks. I'll have to measure mine and see if they might have been modified already, thank you!
