Drum Brake Hardware Kits

After some extensive time in the shop, my 62 is finally home in the garage and I'm starting the rest of her restoration. I've had some issues with the rear brakes locking up and I'm ready to do the full swap to new parts. I bought new drums, shoes, and cylinders from Summit, but they didn't have a complete hardware kit that would fit my parts and year. Seems like Ebay has kits also but they're only listed as being 1963+ for Comets. I'd rather not piece parts out from MAc's ... Does anyone have a good spot for complete inner hardware kits for Bendix Brakes ?

Thanks!

You may try C&G https://cgfordparts.com
They've come through for me a few times.
If what you need is not listed maybe a call would help.

Keep us posted what you find I'm having the same issues with the 62' I bought. It had been sitting in a barn since 2000 and 3 out of 4 wheels were locked up. Had to drag it out of a barn and then drag it up onto a trailer to get her home. wheels never broke free. Even after 24 hours of soaking them in pb blaster and a good sledge. When we got home had to anchor it off my f150 and have my dad drive the trailer from under it. Starting to get it all tore apart starting with brakes and suspension.

I'm pretty sure the difference in years is that the 63's were self adjusting. I think I would want to upgrade to them to 63 stuff & especially if 62 parts are hard to find. even if I had to get all new different parts I think doing it now vs. adjusting brakes every so often would be on my mind.

Does anyone know if you can use the 63 hardware on a 62? or are we going to have to convert the brakes from the spindle out?

I was able to get almost all of the needed parts from Summit, and the hardware kits were on https://cgfordparts.com as a package.
I'm waiting on back-ordered drums from Summit before I can start the work.
