I'm breaking down the comet for semi-rebuild. new motor, suspension, ect. are there any parts that cant be replaced. some of the rubber bits are dry and breaking off in my hand. the rubber strip under the hood mainly. when this was happening it made me think about seeing if there was even a replacement. whats the opinion of Steel rubber products. their the only one I know of. any other suggestion would be awesome.

I bought from here, I haven't installed anything but the wiper bezel gaskets but everything looks well made.

Oh and just as a side note, they refunded part of the shipping cost to me, they said the website overcharged in it's calculation, nice that they would do that and not just pocket the difference.

I have always heard that Dennis Carpenter has the best weather stripping for comets, falcons & trucks. though some pieces are not available from them.

what are the rubber pieces called that go between the fender and radiator support. also the rubber between where the fender meets the firewall. they are held on with staples through the metal. i cant find these listed anywhere but not knowing what to call them could be hindering my google search.
