carpet replacement

Post by captian_napalm »

Ok so the original carpet in my 62 resembled anything but. I have a new carpet to install. my main question is the placement of the gas pedal. Does it sit on top of the carpet, or do I need to make a slit?

Ok next question... The original carpet was garbage. How do I go about installing without having the old on as a template.

Not sure what you're asking. if you buy a new carpet set they usually come slightly larger & are trimmed during installation . AFAIK.

Basicly asking how to install this without screwing it up. Every thing I found calls for using the old carpet as a template.

So did you buy just a big piece of flat carpet or a molded kit, for your car?
