Its been a while!

I have not touched the Comet as im waiting until the interior turns up before I crack on with it Plus im laying a new driveway at home so thats taking all my spare time at the moment

I have also just bought myself a '73 F100 to use as a run-around / parts hauler / shop truck! Its a 302 with 4 on the floor. Its currently being used daily in Cali, so once it arrives in the UK there will be no messing and used as is

Truck is awesome!!! We had 3 of 'em when I was a kid...from 302 and 3 on the tree, to 390 auto - all the same green!!

That's a cool old truck transplanter! shortbed right? I drove a 73 for years. I still have 3 trucks of that style. 76 ,77 & 79 4x4 .

I had a 76 Ford F100 in orange with white striping, loved that truck.................Nice to see yours.

Albert my 73 was orange with white stripping.

Yep, is a shortbed custom, I dont know much about them tbh. I was also offered a 58 Apache with a 350 SBC but it needed work to make it a driver, and I need to spend any spare time & money on the Cyclone just now and not another distraction!!!

My contact in California is running around in this at the moment, so should be good to go once it gets here

Where did you order your interior parts from?

It all come from falcon/comet interiors in WA

Well, its taken a year longer to make a start on this than was actually planned

But this evening I finally moved the Cyclone into my workshop



My first plan of attack is the bodywork, but before I strip it down I need to remove all the shiny bits! I am also led to believe that the rocker trim clips are obsolete so will try not to break those!

Has anyone have any tips on removing the trim without damaging it, and are they any hidden clips, screws or nuts that I should be aware of before I make a mistake

At least you have a set of rocker trim to remove. The PO stripped the rocker and wheel lip trim from mine. I found a set of Cyclone wheel lip trim, but still looking for the rocker trim.
