Master Cylinder advice for a 1964 Comet Convertible

Post by Caliente »

Hi. I have owned my 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente for 17 years. It is a convertible. A few years back I put disc brakes on the front. Now I want to install a new master cylinder and booster...but as you are likely aware, there is VERY limited space in this convertible (the shock tower and stabilizer bars that are welded, not bolted). Can anyone recommend the EXACT replacement I would need to update my brake system? The master cylinder is mandatory And a new (thinner) booster would be a plus. The current tolerances are in the 1/4 range. Thanks.

ABSPower brake has a booster/MC that fits. I think it is on or about page 79 of their site.

also if you want more room to access the MC get a bolt in export brace.
this is one of the cheapest out there but it is a good piece;
