You need to supply more information if you want a useful response.
Year? Model? Etc.

No V8 original just trying to gain some wheel space.

I've read on various forums it is a direct fit. The leafs and shock plates should all work back but not having one here to measure I thought I would see if anyone else has done this and what are the gotcha's if any.

If that's the rubber between the shock plate and leaf I would install new while it's apart.

You'll probably have to drill new holes in those shock plates, because I think the maverick rearend has 3'' tubes.& if so you'll need new u bolts . any parts store has them . I haven't done a maverick rear swap but I did put a narrowed truck rear in mine that had 3'' tubes.

I had to drill more holes for the bigger u bolts. I deleted the rubber Isoclamps & it's metal cover, which made the bolt hole pattern need to be narrower, this kept my new holes from merging with the old ones . but your holes will collide . the reason I sawed off part of the plate is because with the narrowed rearend the backing plates were interfering.

If you use the Mav housing and shock plates there’s no reason to mess with the iso-clamp stuff. Just use all the Mav parts. :D
'cause Johno says you gotta have a sig pic! :)

I had a Maverick 8" before I went to the Explorer 8.8. Pretty much a direct fit. Use the Maverick spring plates.
