Thank You Everyone

Post by fair67 »

I just want to take the time to thank everyone for their help with my Father Daughter 65 Comet project. I have finally gotten the steering cooling rear end and many other things to the point where I felt ok to let my Daughter finally drive her car this morning. In fact she drove it home after drivers education class early this morning for the first time. Yes it is hers she only has a Permit right now but she said she did not want a newer car to drive around. I really did not understand how much she liked the Comet till I snapped this picture of her.

Pure joy. Stoked for you both!

Thanks again for the help and also the nice comments. We need to get working in the trunk and after that bodywork.

This is what the car looks like with no bodywork yet . I think I will let her drive it like this for a while till the trunk is done and she gets used to it.

The inside of the trunk has no weather seal and water gets in . I am wanting to clean surface rust off the trunk seal area and get a trunk mat in it that is not there. The trunk needs sanded cleaned and painted . I need to buy a new trunk mat preferably an original style one.
