This was posted today on the HAMB forum. It is an early video of Jack Chrisman’s fuel ‘64 Comet A/FX Comet. After he installed the Blown and injected FE engine with direct drive he started doing exhibition runs. This is the car that started the “funny car” revolution in drag racing.

Check this out. I saw this car run a few yrs ago. Not that much of a run but still the best part of the event. Had a huge crowd around the car all day

Cool video but that car is a clone. Yes, Jack’s ‘64 was converted to a ‘65 between the season. But that car did not last long as everyone was stepping up the game and Jack went one up on the gang again with a flip top.
Those were the days, the rules were just guide lines and everyone pushed them to the limit. No BS just racing.
