WHICH BATTERY?

Post by thos25 »

Hey guys; Time for a new battery and I am here again to get some valuable info. My 6 year old EXCIDE 720 in my 65 CYCLONE just won't hold a charge over the winter. I have a disconnect switch on it and keep it on the BATTERY TENDER during the winter (MONTANA). I have a similar set up on my 65 MUSTANG using a DURA START and I never have a problem. I realize I should do my homework so this is where I am beginning. You guys always have great ideas... well not always!(LOL)
Thanks, and Kind Regards, TOM

Tom,don't know if you have one locally but the Duracell at Sam's Club is a great choice. Good price. They are the exact same battery as Deka,Made in USA (one of the few) by East Penn Mfg.Been using them for years in diesel truck, car, boat, and rv with no issues.

6 years out of a battery is pretty dang good. I'm lucky if I get 3.
