Yeah, the shifter thing confused me too. Last time we went to test n tune night at our track my wife ran her 2012 Focus, just for fun and pulled a 15.9!comethead wrote:I like those old articles.

And the performance times: 0-60 9.7secs. 1/4 mile 16.2 secs @ 80mph.
I think a modern SUV could do better...but not be as cool of course.

The 2012 Focus ST is gonna have 247hp/250lb.ft torque out of a 2.0L turbo motor. 18" wheels and big brake option. Whoa! Go Ford!!

My wife has a Titanium that has the 18" wheel option. Not the good motor or big brakes the the ST has.

Wow! 18's on that little car! Looks good!
My G35 driver has 18" wheels...tires are not cheap.
I may cash that car in on a new Focus ST. If its anything like the WRX I used to own (230hp AWD 5spd) then its a winner!
