Got my tank and sending unit today!!
No locking ring or gasket, called the guys at Auto City Classic they shipped today. They were out of stock when the tank shipped.
I know some have been concerned.
So I asked about the availability of the 64-65 tanks in the future. I was told anybody selling them has to buy from them. They told me they are the only importers and the 64-65 comet tank is not in danger of being discontinued.

That's good news Matt!
Many times the repro parts just disappear after awhile. Like the repro steel 4 speed speed tunnel cover.
Good to know the gas tanks are here to stay!

1964 Falcon HT- track car- 302/4 speed

When I put a new sending unit on my tank it came with a new lock ring. it leaked. I knew it didnt feel tight when I turned it in. :( so I sand blasted the old one & used it with no problem. the little risers were shorter on the repop, not letting it get as tight.
