Adds to the smooth clean look. Gonna drive me nuts wondering what is up your sleeve for the headlight & wiper switches.

Very nice and clean! Maybe a on-off headlight switch near the dimmer?
Wiper switch in the steering wheel spokes?
As always your work is great!!

Nothing special, going to put the headlight switch in place of one of the toggle switches in recess behind dash. The wiper switch is just going to be mounted behind the lower dash out of sight.poboyjo65 wrote:Adds to the smooth clean look. Thanks Dave, yea thought about wiper switch built into turn signal switch. The headlight switch next to dimmer is a good idea!Santa's Comet wrote:Very nice and clean! Maybe a on-off headlight switch near the dimmer?

Lou, I thought a dimmer switch only had 1 purpose.
While doing research on C-4 overdrives, I ran across a
article they needed a switch for use on the split shift.
They went down the road in a 64 Falcon shifting
away with his foot!

Re: Lou's 65 Comet Build
Got some bits and pieces done this weekend.
Epoxied the dash and parts, did some icing, re-epoxy primered them, then primer surfaced everything. Here is what they looked liked after epoxy.
While the primer is sitting I moved on to finish the hood pins. Trimmed the fiberglass cups I made for underneath the hood, glued them in with panel adhesive, and sanded them smooth.
Fabbed a couple hood pin mounts out of 16ga.
Here is what one looks like mounted to the rad support.
Next going to get the mounts and underneath of the hood in primer.

Lou you going to fill in the space between the grill and the rad support with a sheet of stainless or ??? Like the race car guys do. I think it makes that area look very clean when done right.

Thanks Tomb
Matt,, really a good idea on the filler. Really never gave it any thought. I cleaned up the rad support already, welded up any unused holes and smoothed everything out. Prob just going to skip the filler but something to think about.
Thanks for the idea !!
