OK, I, of course, happen to have found a carb that I think is a Holley 1940 or it seems to look like one. It is a single barrel that came on a 1966 Mustang 200 I snagged a few days ago for my 64 Comet project. Only problem is the only numbers I can find on the card are as follows below I have looked high and low at every site I can find, the Holley site lists this carb as a 2 barrel from a 327 Chevy. I hate to ask for help but I have checked everywhere I know and my eyes are starting to cross from being on the computer so long.

The numbers are inside a circle stamped on the body of the carb.
A-! is stamped on the body just below the numbers above
The numbers listed below are stamped on the body

34R-5008B is stamped on the accelerator pump.

Almost identical except for the dash pot hanging below the fuel inlet. Mine doesn't have anything like that.

After more research it is a Holley 1940 carb. I think I can find kits at NAPA, I hope, if not Mike's carburetors seem to have them. thanks for the links and help. I find the little sixes just a tad more difficult to work with as they don't seem to have the support base the V8's have. They are very different from the engines I am used to working with. I do look forward to building this little six for the 202 Comet and making a nice little cruiser out it for the little lady.
