Fiberglass project NOT ON COMET

Post by SASSY »

Thought I'd share what I've been up to the last little while.
We are taking off to southern clims for a couple months leaving Jan1/18 and the trailer needed a bit of work.
I did some frame reinforcing, prepping the exterior for a roll and tip marine style paint job and this little 'glas project.
I've has this truck canopy kicking around for a while and got this idea for a nose cover on the trailer to cove the sparetire, propane tank and jack handle.
well, it's taken on a character all it's own!

Looks cool, Fred. Reminds me of a certain sports effigy. Does this mean you'll be off-line a couple of months, or are we going with you.

Thanks guys!
Jim, I'll probably be more of a nuisance since we'll be sitting around for a couple a months enjoying the sun in ElCentro Ca.
Everyone who sees the"Areoshell" (thanks Rocket) Says it looks like an animal of prey,,, ?
Might just play that up a little with the paint.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

So I finished the "Aeroshell" and put rollntip marine paint on the whole unit,,, not as good as spray but happy for the 250 or so dollars I put into it.
Now a week at the coast with my 2 little princesses ( and their parents) for Christmas then south to ElCentro Ca. Where there is nothing to burn!Image

Great stuff there buddy. Only problem is that beak, you're gonna have to build a Falcon to pull it with now.

That is COOL! 8) Good looking grandkids, too. Do you have to let some air out of the tires to get it in/out of the garage? Looks mighty close. Have a safe and fun trip, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks guys! My grand girls are the best!
Lip,,, don't talk like that, there is a little round body that was under a tarp down the road from me, the tarp blew off this summer, it's a late 63 hardtop! Now it hasn't moved since we moved here over 11 years ago do I dare pull in the yard,,, ? After all I have a 351c and a 4gear that would turn that little bird into an eagle!!
But really I want a 05 Mustang for the C and 4gear to build a 70s TransAm car cage points, condenser, carb n all.
Mike, Jim, I had to put a set of 13 inch steel wheels with no tires on to get it in and out of the garage, they match now!
