Photoshopped '64 with '65 quarters
Photoshopped '64 with '65 quarters
There had been a discussion about '65 quarters on a '64 so I found a couple of pictures on the internet and Photoshopped the rear quarters on and this is how they look.
Not sure the '65 quarters are even available right now I could not find them out on the internet or eBay but there it is anyway.
See Ya,
Mike

Don't look as good as the 64 quarters that's for sure.
I just found a good drivers side off of a post car and a good 2DHT passengers side at a wrecking yard.If anyone is interested they will ship them. Just PM me and I'll give you there number.

The '65 quarters I am using are listed on eBay, not exact copies of the originals but they are pretty close, the lip is wider than the original. Item #'s 311892149733 & 311892150634 from seller fish4stuff
Mike can you photoshop Falcon quarters onto the '64 Comet? Might look better than the '65 quarters & they are cheaper & easier to find.

Re: Photoshopped '64 with '65 quarters
Thanks for taking the time to post this Mike, it would be nice if someone would start making '64 quarter replacements! The '64 I almost bought a few weeks ago needed quarters.

From doing the Falcon I can tell one thing different is the space between the wheel opening and the door, the Falcon is shorter there as well as from the rear of the opening to the bumper.

Falcon quarters actually look like they might work ok. Someone should try them and share lots of photos!

I know beggars can't be choosers, Mike, but now can you post all three photos in a row? The original 64, the 65 and the falcon so we can easily roll back and forth
Pretty please.

Re: Photoshopped '64 with '65 quarters
Have you considered using front fender openings.
My quarters were a mess when I got it rusted up through the body line, fiberglassed and mudded together.
They were like that for many years till I got hold of a set of front fenders and realized I could make them work.
I did modify the openings a bit by stretching them,,, 3 inches I think because of rear tire diameter.

It's been a while now, and I still don't see any 64 quarter panels: So has anyone tried using either 65 Comets or the Falcons ? (assuming those were 64-65). Photoshop is one thing. Actually doing it is quite another. I don't think the creases match up very well. (I need both sides done on my 64....)
