Yea they put it on in a hurry. on my 65 it was as thick as a dime is wide in places, & bare in others. but it popped off really easy. I just stabbed at it with a screw driver for most of it, had to tap the screw driver with a hammer in some places. had to scrap some traces with a wider scrapper afte...

I got the app from Tremec. The readings are a little sketchy because my phone has buttons on both sides, but after countless measurements, I believe the trans output shaft is at ~2.5 degrees, the driveshaft is pretty much 0, and the diff is ~6.5. I read that the diff should be pointing down because...

Greg here is a pretty good tire calculator that Jimscyclone post a few years ago that I really like. gives you all the specs of 2 different size tires & compares them ,even a visual diagram at top right with 2 views that you can change back & forth. even gives speedo info. of course its not perfect....

You could check toe in with a tape measue. it is the most crucial adjustment. if you can hold a straight edge ,pc of something straight like angle iron on the lower part of the tires level or tie it on somehow & check front & back with the tape. make sure you check in the same place next to the tire...

any time you remove front end parts you will need a front end alignment,so it's nothing to be upset about. :D If you can find an old school shop with an older man working there you'll be better off. these old cars are more aggravating to get right.

saw these SS zipties,they look pretty handy . just last night I was trying to fish a ziptie back thru something,trying to bend it so it would come back thru another opening so I could grab the other end to run it thru the lock, it didnt want to stay in the shape I bent it ,these would have been nice...
