Re: Lou's 65 Comet Build

Yea once you think of heat shrink as a universal covering it opens up many uses. Started with the lanyards, but have found a few other uses for it on my build! Lou I'm surprised you didn't cover the whole lanyard,,,or at least up past the part that looks to be rubbing on the hood trim. :? btw, did ...

Re: Seat Track Nightmare

fuzzydriver after looking at the picture/exploded view of seat & parts that you found & posted from Kevins post again I noticed at the top of the page is an enlargement of the attachment of the wire to front of the seat .instead of hogrings it looks like hooks,,,,which make more sense > would be eas...

Re: Seat Track Nightmare

Here are some pics of the seat out of my car with wire that is run thru 2 or 3 rings on the frame. if you zoom in on second pic you can see that it would be above the hog rings that are holding the cover on which helps it get over the hump https://i.postimg.cc/DZQ9BKP9/SDC11133.jpg https://i.postimg...

Re: Seat Track Nightmare

If what you are calling a tie rod is the wire that goes from one side track lock to the other side one with a turn buckle to adjust it. It should be ran through a hog ring at front of seat in the center of the seat. This takes up the slack while keeping it from dragging on the drive shaft tunnel. I ...

Re: 63 single master bowl upgrade to dual

Going to a dual master is OK, but if you don't replace all the wheel cylinders as well. why bother with the master. I would say for the safety of the dual MC. because if you rupture a line with a single MC you wont have any brakes at all. but if you rupture a line with a dual MC it can only affect ...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

The more closer to being in tune it gets the more fine tuning & resetting it will need. just gotta keep tweaking everything. they are finicky about the float settings. cant always go by the book with today's fuel. I toyed with different power valves for my 4100, which is basically same a 2100 except...

I was thinking about the NASCAR cowl induction but remembered you had the air intake tackled already  Joe What welds? :? we ...
