Re: poboyjos ride

You stalked that project for a long time, but when you pounced you went for the kill. Looks good. 8) I know you're itchin' to get it back on the road. It's been a while. Jim Thanks ,I would call it dodging this project. This new painter guy actually painted the cowl ''when'' he said he would ...

Re: New Garage Art

Re: poboyjos ride

Finally made some progress ,I glued my cowl top on last night. Man it was kinda hectic, but barely got er done within the 90 min work time of the epoxy. I used 3M 8115 , an old friend now & I still love it, but it had been so long I had to hit up Lou again for some refresher advice. Thanks again Lou...

Fred right ,that just like mine ,is called a vario-centric camber kit. it doesnt have the round eccentric washer things like in powerband's pic. kind of same principle but square OD. & there...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

One small thing to check. loosen the nuts on the carb studs .take the throttle return springs off & basically make sure the butterflies are opening easily with no resistance as you snug up & tighten carb studs down. sometimes the carb gets cocked slightly on install . always tighten the carb down fi...

I got this regulator , I've added a return line. I still need to make up a line from reg down to old line down by the frame ; https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-12-881?rrec=true & this gauge had a button that sounded important ,suckered me in. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-15632?...

Re: How to attach Mercury Head on emblem?

I'd probably just epoxy it on. or maybe a very small tap ,drill & tap the stud that was riveted on,not the guild pin. would need a squared off tap to get threads deep enough. but the glue would be easier.

Re: Dan's 65 Cyclone project !

I almost bought a needle scaler when I took off the factory undercoating behind the fenders . it was really thick in places & looked like it was going to be a pain to get off but I pecked around with a screw driver & it was so brittle I popped it all off with screwdriver in just a little while ,30 m...
