Re: What were they thinking ???

The front grille area reminds me of a Studebaker or Rambler. The rear reminds me of a 61 Belaire. And the mirrors are just wrong... But the rest of the Build IMO, is pretty nice. Would like to know what engine, but someone put some work into it. Here is a video that shows much more than the pictures...

Re: What were they thinking ???

As Fred said not a fan of the front/rear/ and mirrors. But the chassis is pretty sweet. Bet it runs and handles pretty nice! Curious to what ...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

Guys, Thanks for checking on me. A couple of things about the signature picture. A. I had larger tires on the rear, So now the rear tires are 1 inch smaller. B. The new front springs have raised the front end at least an inch. So the Comet is more level and almost feel a little low in the back end....

Re: Steering wheel removal to replace plastic shift indicator

You may be able to pull and rock it off by hand if it's been off before. Removed my wheel that way last year a couple times. Just don't crack it (or your skull). Joe As Joe said you may be able to pull it off by hand. First put the nut back on end of shaft a few threads to stop the steering wheel f...

Re: It became official, overnight!!

Got our first snow last night. They made a big deal on the news yesterday about it with warnings and such. All we got was a dusting on the grassy areas.

Still sucks lol

Re: Root's 64 Cyclone Build

Those are the wrong washers. They look like the ones for Keystone Klassic or the old E-T wheels. The ones for Cragar SS are round and fit up against the two raised pieces on each side of the lug nut hole. To center.

Try depressing the throttle pedal to the floor twice, wait a couple seconds, then turn key.

Re: Too Rich For Me

Air cleaner clean?? Do you still have points ignition? If so are you changing the gap to .035? The WR 5 are preset at .040 which would be ok for electronic ignition but if you don't have electronic then gap would be better at .035 . Would give better spark. Points, cap, rotor, wires all good? Weak s...

My 8” is 3 degrees and that is what my engine is so that is what I had them make this one to. Can buy wedges to go between the pad and spring to adjust if needed.
Thanks!
