The upper instrument cluster holes line up but the lowers do not, so you'll either have to weld tabs to the cluster opening and drill them for screw holes or make some kind of small bracket that will attach from the back side. The rest of the dash trim will mostly line up but the ...

Re: Rear Suspension

It all really depends on what kind of performance you are looking for, how much work/modification you're willing to do and how much money you're willing to spend. Looking at the rear spring bushings, shackles and shocks should be part of your initial effort to improve rear grip. Urethane bushings wo...

Re: Rear Suspension

Just my opinion but I would have to disagree. As you are going around a corner body roll tends to put more pressure on the tires on one side or the other consequently unloading the opposite side which causes a loss of traction, evening out the load by decreasing the body roll the tires should retain...

Re: 64 cyclone

All the Comets have their share of nice features but 64 and 66 are my faves. The 64 because of it's the first year of the A/fX affiliation and the damn thing just looks like a rocket ship to me. The three pod taillights, the swept roof line that blends into the subtle fins and the arrow on the side ...

Re: Has anyone Installed Classic Instruments Guages 1965 Com

I am transplanting a 65 comet cluster and dash trim into my 64 which I see a few people here have done, it a much more sporty cluster IMO.. I'm considering trying to adapt a Dakota Digital 65 Mustang gauge cluster into my bezel but am not sure I will be able to. It would be a very expensive fail if ...

Re: carb spacer and heat stop opinions needed

If you want to keep some heat from the carb try using an Edelbrock RPM air Gap intake manifold. A good electric choke should help with any cold start problems.

Re: My '65 Comet Caliente

Hello, Nice 65, especially with the FE under the hood. Looks like your car has a custom stainless gas tank. I know you got your car on ebay but I was wondering if you have any information on where that tank came from and what the capacity is ? I have a 64 Caliente and I want to run tubular mufflers ...
