Re: Pop's Cobra build.
Oh it’s GM for sure. I’ve built more than 30 Camaro's over the years with that same hood style. You just don’t see many “true blue” Ford guys use them.

Re: Wanted: 63 Comet convertible Rear Quarter panels
There is a guy named Tom Hiles on Facebook mercury comet parts buy-sell-trade that claims to have two sets of nos quarters. I posted a 64 quarter on there January 5 and he comments about his parts.

Re: My first 1964 Caliente/Comet project
E coat is nice but to my knowledge there isn’t anyone around southern Illinois that does it. I have had good results with cleaning any residue and spraying with ppg epoxy primer. For inside areas like rockers there are products with flexible wands that allow you to coat those.

Re: My first 1964 Caliente/Comet project
Have you considered having your Comet dipped? I am not too far from you in Illinois and take my cars over to Evansville to have it done. In my opinion it is well worth the money. It will make it a lot easier to weld and do the body work.

Re: Purple Guns Galore
I’ll have to agree that there is a big difference between a high end paint gun and those from Harbor Freight. I own a production collision shop and have quite a few Sata and Iwata guns. Each has its own particular application. I also have a series of Devilbiss TEKNA Premium guns that I believe are p...

Probably wouldn't be my choice of power but I'll give props to the builder for how well the car is done. They have spent a lot of time and money

Re: convert a 65 4 door into a 2 door
That's a fairly common conversion on the mid 60's mopar products. Without a doubt it is a lot of work and really takes a few 2 door parts to make it work out right. That said, if 2 doors aren't available where you are and that is what you want, why not go for it? Make the car what you want. Other op...

Re: Can I save our 1966 Cyclone Convertible?
Who’s gives a @!&$ that nobody give a @&$& about Mercs? Equitable and reasonable?!?  You are speaking the wrong language amigo! To the OP -for the amount of work you’d have to do on that maybe a “rebody” would be easier. Transfer everything plus VIN panels to the donor body. It can...
