Re: Joe's '63 1/2 Tinkering Thread

Sassy's horns hacked too when I bought it. Someone drilled a hole in the console tray! and installed a push button for the horn but the relay wasnt in the wiring layout. Ya, from power through switch to horns. I fixed it eventually( low on the list of priorities lol). I mounted my horns behind the f...

Lets have a contest to see who can guess the hammer price the closest.
I'll start, but first I will say I have no clue what people are willing to pay.

I think Goodwood is all about real and how much excess they can flaunt, just my opinion.

Re: Honey West TV show?

I wonder how much time and effort would it take over 55 plus years to maintain the car at the level that that one sold for?
Storage, and insurance alone.
I kinda thinkin investing in plastics like the guy in The Graduate
in '65 would give a good run for the bottom line.

Re: oil pan removal

Think I'd drop the oil and fish around with a wire and whatever else came to mind for while. A magnet inside a nonmagnetic tube down the distributor hole,,
Ya never know till ya try,,

Re: oil pan removal

Probably need to drop the centerlink at least.
Im not familiar with the engine bay on that generation,, but looking at Google images of the undercarriage it appears the cross member is welded in so ya I think the motor is going to need to be shuffled around.

Re: Discerning Brake Size (HELP!)

If it was me I'd pulling the shoes/pads out and taking them with me to the parts store. Shoes have quite a fitment range, you might find they're in stock.
If your ordering, measure and be sure,,, Henry and the kids loved to use stuff up so lots a mid years changes too.

Re: Hydrolic throw out bearing

Are you in the process of installing the C or has it been used and you are now adding headers? Does the car have the clutch pedal? I googled the net a bit and adding a hydraulic release system will require several hundred dollars and because the car isn't a Mustang/Camero there will probably still b...

Re: Fall Ford Fest in Wisconsin

Drove through the Dells area once, unfortunately we were on the return trip from a cross continent drive,, all I wanted was my own bed at the time but what a beautiful unique area!
Jim the car is so understated yet amazingly attractive!
Too bad about the distorting camera lense.

Re: New member

So I can use a 65-67 mustang inner and outer tie rods, adjusted rod and Pitt arms? (So much cheaper than the falcon parts) As long as I use the 65 comet v8 center link. If that’s the case maybe I can find some parts tomorrow at the Hershey swap and meet. 65-6 anyway not sure about 7s Read through t...

Re: New member

Yes, I was looking to get new spindles with with all new 65 rods and brake conversion. I also thought about keeping the same suspension with all new components and just add the brake suspension that will make the front hub into a 5 lug. Also thought about putting a 67 mustang spindle with 65 falcon...

Welcome! Cool convert.
Have you looked at upgrading the steering as well?
Several articles in Driveline on it.
