Re: Making a hole bigger

I would get a quality holesaw. Cut the hole in a piece of 3/4" plywood then clamp to the steel where you want the hole and drill away using the plywood as a guide.

I missed a pic of mine there too.

Re: Show Schedule

I was able to snap a few pictures to post here. I thought I had gotten all the Comets but with the glare I missed some. Another Red 65 Cyclone and the 65 Convertible.

We were there for about six hours and certainly did not see all of the cars

Re: Show Schedule

Mark, sorry to hear about your transmission. My wife and I are headed up to Dawsonville on Saturday, only a little over 1 hour for me. Comet East is suppose to be there with 7-8 Comets. I will try to get pics posted.

I also used Jake's interior from comet/falcon and agree with Roy. They fit great and the quality is first class. Good luck with our Cyclone project.

Re: what did you do to your comet today?

I reworked the header collector configuration, after tweaking the fitment at the heads the tubes were all different lengths. I trimmed them up, applied copper sealant and assembled. Next move is to trash them and get Dougs, PO got screwed on the custom made ones! I adjusted the clutch awhile I was u...

Welcome to the site. Thanks for hanging on to the Cyclone all these years. It looks to be well preserved, still original drivetrain?

Re: old paint job

Eastwood carries a 2k spray can, 2 part, I guess I already tossed the latest catalog with the specifics . It supposedly sprays pretty good.
I sprayed my interior parts with SEM, it worked well.

Re: So many questions

welcome to the site. I found my interior parts from Jake in Washington state. I imagine he can put together the 202 parts you need.

I had to remove my headers to get the clutch parts aligned, then adjust the tubes around the linkage with some persuasion. Good luck with your project

Re: Comet Gathering 2016

I had the opportunity to take mine out this year. It was a blast, not a competition, just fun runs. I am in if the opportunity comes up in PF.

I need to better gears though, 2.89:1 not much out of the box
