Re: 64 Falcon Track Car

Hey Lou the only thing that might affect using the adapter plate in reverse is the curvature of the housing. If you look at the Fairlane housing above you’ll see its flat where the shifter sits. The Mustang housing has a consistent curvature throughout. But I’m not 100% sure it wont work. I have a M...

Re: New ‘64 Cyclone owner

I remember years ago there was a very passionate fellow here that just about broke the forum proving/disproving some of the Comet Hipo theories. any of you old timers remember that? There was a poster claiming one a couple years ago I remember. It had a wacky DSO code and could have been a very rar...

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car

Looks great! I see you have the David Kee tail housing, with all 3 shifter mounting locations. Is it a pretty nice fitting piece?? Something I may need to get depending on where I want my shifter. Also really like your trans crossmember. Is that something you fabricated yourself, or store bought? L...

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car

Your trans is a piece a art! Very nice. Overdrives use up power anyway and for what you do with the Falcon 0-30 mph isn't a concern,,,,, is it? I like the low-mid 3s for a rear gear. Sassy has ~330ft lb torque from about 2600rpm and loves to pull and I like the M90 singing! Look forward to up...

Re: 64 Falcon Track Car

In the quest to make the Falcon lower lighter and faster Ive completed phase 1- lighter. My 4 speed toploader now has aluminum housings and is definitely easier to handle and install https://i.postimg.cc/YCW4nDS0/057-B744-C-4-A6-A-4-B16-90-E8-A1-DC5-B96-FA67.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/BQtPDn9x/8437857...

Re: New ‘64 Cyclone owner

Cool car! Inevitably there’s always someone that chimes in (usually with the wrong info) about the Hipo option in the Early Comets and the unproven Canadian Hipo Falcon thing  I remember years ago there was a very passionate fellow here that just about broke the forum proving/disproving some of...

Re: 9'' Rear End

Plus the weight! I feel that lump throwing the back of the car around when I get on it in the twisties. If it wasn't for the boxes a parts and familiarity with it Id be lookin for lighter. Ya I know build the IRS,,,,, Or mount Hoosiers on all fours like Comethead Joe  Joe  Im still ru...

I know for myself I get lazy to post up because I like putting up pictures and that’s a bit of a process. But I read most of the new stuff and try to help where I can.
Happy holidays everyone!

Looks darn good Johnnie!!
Seems like everything is too damn expensive these days. I haven’t checked around but it cost me $350 to get my radio converted years ago…cant imagine what it would cost now
