Re: 65 quarter panels
Looking at them on the website they appear to be for a 65. Quite pricey though.. and they are just the lower half not the full quarter.

Custom exhaust or kit?
Does anybody know if there are exhaust kits available for a 65? I see some for 66/67 comets and Fairlanes.. Will these work?
Or is it best to have a custom job put on?

Re: Internal door rust
I treated the inner door and welded the back panel back in... this actually went better than I expected. This door is somewhat of an experiment. It’s in bad shape, but very little rust. The front panel is where all the trouble is.. I banged out the dents as much as I could. I know it doesn’t look li...

Looks good, I haven't even checked mine yet, I am assuming it is there because my doors are rust free but I might find an issue. At least I know how to fix it now if there is a problem, thanks for sharing. See Ya, Mike Thanks Mike.. they’re not perfect but not that visible, so it’s okay I guess.. S...

Re: Door weatherstrip panel
I got the weatherstrip channel done... Not bad I guess.. don’t have a metal brake so used angle iron and body hammer.. small sanding disc to get the curves..Did the zinc primer underneath like you suggested cbcafe.. used 22gauge metal.. I’m happy with it.. 1316B923-8620-457E-A19A-4AA8BD3BCC37.jpeg 3...

Re: Door weatherstrip panel
Seeing that I am not getting any response on this I am going to proceed with making a new channel... this appears to be thin metal possibly 22 or 24 gauge.. I’ll post some pics when finished... News flash... It won’t be pretty

Door weatherstrip panel
Hey all. The weatherstrip channel on the bottom of my door is rusted away. Door has been repaired and I am wondering if the channel is needed. What do you guys think? Is it needed to hold the weatherstrip in place? Seems the adhesive would do the job.

Re: Rear end locked up
Yup 64/65 Cyclones came from the factory with 8” rear ends. Unless it was a real deal 289 Hipo. Then it got the 9” rear with tapered housing and small bearings like a 65/66 Mustang Hipo. Joe Wow... I still have a lot to learn about cyclones...I thought they all came from the factory with 9’s.. than...

Re: Rear end locked up
Fred/Pops..The rear gear was not in the car.. So that confirms it.... I’m the DA...I knew all along that I was.. hard lesson learned.. Well I guess I will now have to replace it with a 9 inch... Cyclones are supposed to have 9 inch rears anyway.

Has anybody ever cut out a portion of the inner door to make it easier to take care of surface rust inside the door?

Weatherstripping prices
Wow!!! Why is weatherstripping so expensive? Just checked Steele rubber products website. Over 650 bucks for a 10 piece kit for my 65. Are there more reasonable options out there?
