Funny someone just gave one of those to my father in law and I was wondering what it was for, also gave him a box of "Camel" brand patches looks like they decided cigarettes were more profitable in the end.

Re: Battery Relocation to the Trunk
I put my battery in the trunk as well, it's sits on the tray behind the back seat. I usually go to welding supply and get ground wire for a welder. It's big cheap and very flexible so you can chase it through the car easier. Then I grounded the battery to the trunk hinge bolts, then the motor on bot...

Re: Removing a broken bolt woes.
What I have found that works is to weld a washer to the broken bolt then a nut to the washer. But it'd always a fight to get them out. Isn't life fun!

Re: c4 issues
You also need to make sure you have the trans completely full, after you fill you need to start and run through the gears and check with the car running. As for the radiator causing this you would have red coolant, the trans cooler lines run about 30 psi compared to 14 on the radiator so usually the...

OK maybe you should start a post asking that question, I have a 65 so I'm not much help there but if you have a thread stating what you need to know someone will be better able to help.
At least you will need v8 tie rods, spindles and a v8 rear diff

Re: 331
What are you looking to know? I have a 347 which is the same principle just a longer stroke. I've been happy with mine only thing I would do different would be to spend a bit more money and get the forged crank from scat.

Thanks for all the input, since my cat is a street car I think I'll fix my fenders but will go with fiberglass bumpers and hood.

Re: you moved ??
Pop,
I hear you about the warm weather, we're in Montana this week hunting and theres not even any snow in the high country to get them moving. Never seen it this warm here this late in the year. Have seen lots of deer, just wish we could see some elk! Anyway we're back out this morning.

Re: Toploader
It could be that the bellhousing is not quite aligned for the input shaft to hit the pilot right, you will be able to see that with the pressure plate out of the way. It's not to common of a problem but I have seen it before.

Re: Toploader
Did you happen to test the pilot bushing /bearing on the Trans before install? Whatever you do DO NOT use the Trans bolts to force it into the bell housing!!!! I have seen more then 1 broken Trans from guys doing that.

Re: fiberglass parts??
Lou, Thanks for the input, I think you just made up my mind! I'll fix my fenders, they are solid just have a few dents and some old body work that was not done well. I was hoping to be able to save a little weight and also not have the car laid up to long so I thought I could get the fiberglass ones...

fiberglass parts??
So I'm going to be going with a fiberglass hood, the one they used on the craftsman car, and have been thinking about also going with fiberglass fenders and bumpers. Anyone used the ones from crites? I'm wondering how well the fit and hold up. I think that I've read they have pretty good quality but...

Re: Air Compressors
We have a shulz air compressor at our shop, it's a 7.5 hp which o know is bigger then you need but we've had it for 12 years and not a problem with it. I run my mechanic shop and my father in law runs his body shop off the same compressor, so we have really worked it and it has held up great. I know...

Re: rear sump oil pan
I hope for 75 it had a full tank of fresh fuel!!! My father worked at a dealer that sold fiats in the 70s all he did was rebuild the tranys since they were such hunk of crap. Said you had to pull the interior out to pull the trans since they came out the top! Awesome engineering! And I say this as a...

Re: 351W heads on a 260
Not sure if I missed something here but he's got a 331 to put in his car so 465cfm ain't gonna cut the mustard here. I have a quick fuel qseries 750cfm on my 347 with a vic jr and it runs great. I do have what I have heard are better heads, Afr 185 and maybe more compression I think I'm 10.8-10.9 so...
