Re: 65 Gage Bezel
Tail light housings would be an interesting project. I would think a 3D printed version of that is doable. In addition to a stock replacement there is the option build other designs that utilize led lighting. I can imagine an led panel that drops in behind the a stock lense or leds behind a diffuser...

Re: 65 Gage Bezel
Yep, I noticed that the gage pods are different sizes. With the prototype in hand I'll be comparing it to the stock one and adjusting where needed. Since I have the design built in CAD any changes should be a an easy adjustement. I purchased a set of the camera case inserts to verify fit. The one th...

65 Gage Bezel
I've been working on recreating the gage bezel design so that it can be reproduced utlizing 3D printing. I scanned an original bezel and then reverse engineered it creating a new CAD model. Today I received the first full 3D printed part. This first part is simply a test piece to evaluate both the q...

I just saw the message. I sent a PM as well.
I wasn't getting notifications when a reply was posted. I think I must have had the notifications turned off inadvertently.

Re: 1965 Comet Project
The best place to see the details of the suspension is on the Detroit Speed website. Go to the platform page and click on any of the suspension options and take a look at the instructions. There are quite a few pictures and the steps required to install the suspension. If there are specific question...

1965 Comet Project
Here is my project... A little unconventional hot rodding a 4 door, but I love it and I don't care if others are not fond of it. I've had the car for about 6 or 7 years. I live in Michigan and went to Arizona to pick it up. I flew down on a Fiday before a Memorial day weekend and took a test drive t...

New Suspension Kits from DSE
Detroit Speed now offers suspension kits for Comets and Falcons. The front suspension kits are a bolt on. There are several different levels of kit depending on the wheel size/brakes being used. This kit was designed to allow a 15" wheel with stock brakes or can be used with big brakes such as those...

Composite Leaf Springs
Pair of Flex-Form composite Leaf Springs. These have less than 500 miles on them. Shackles and bushings were new when installed. These are lowering springs and dropped the car about an inch compared to the old springs. These were on a 65 Comet. I'm in the process of putting in a 4 link and don't nee...

Re: Rear seat
I've got a nice set of seats out of a 65 Comet 4 Door Sedan. The rear seat is perfect. I'd make you a great deal on them... just come pick them up!

Re: Hi! '65 Comet from Michigan
Thanks everyone! I live in the Midland area. For those not familiar with Michigan, Midland is about 2 hours North of Detroit near the Saginaw Bay. Yeah, those brackets were for towing the Comet from Michigan to Florida behind a motor home. The previous owner was lucky enough to go south during Michi...
