Re: 260 Tripower
My Autolites are the same as the Holleys, in terms of dimensions. Been so long since I bought the K/N filter, I don't have the part number. If memory serves me. I looked up 390/406 Tri Power. Same air filter as used on the small block. Hope this helps.

Re: 260 Tripower
So I noticed your sparkling new air filter. Well, I got to thinking. It has been about twenty years since I put my Tri Power on my 63. About two years after I put it on, I decided to see how clean it was burning. In the process, I took the air cleaner off, did some mixture adjustments and idle speed...

Re: 3x2 manifold
In answer to your question about 2100 model numbers -- Use the sixties carbs. Depending on engine size and build, use the cfm that will best suit your engine. Use a smaller cfm for the middle carb and larger cfm for the outer carbs. These carbs will be mounted backwards on the intake. Also, you do n...

Re: 3x2 manifold
Have a Blue Thunder 3 X 2 manifold on my 63 with a 289 [302]. Made up the setup myself, patterned after the Pony Carbs. Used 2100 Ford carbs, but mounted the fuel rail on the right side as opposed to Pony Carbs left side. It has been on my car since 1998 and have had zero problems

Re: 66 GT Valve Cover Emblems
Interesting that you ask about valve cover emblems. Bought my 66 Cyclone GT in August, 1966 and the valve covers were plain. Nothing on them at all. Why do you think you should have emblems?

Re: MC-51 Rust Remover
So much hype about rust remover. I had a situation where I needed to remove some heavy rust on some very thin fenders (1934 American Austin). Sand blasting was too harsh and sanding would not work in part, because of pitting. Obviously, I needed a lot of "something" to submerse the fenders into. I s...

Re: Alternator set up
You probably have an early 63, so the radiator support and other parts do no except a V8 with either a generator or an alternator. Seems the previous poster has the answer.

Re: T10/Toploader Gear Lube
I was just curious as to what people might say. I had my T10 out of my car a few years back to correct it from jumping out of 2nd gear. Went to NAPA and picked up 80/90 weight gear lube and filled my tranny. Everything seemed fine. Fast forward to last year and I became aware of the gear lube you mi...

If the Master Cylinder is higher than the calipers or wheel cylinders, what is the purpose of the residual valves?

Expansion tanks are not overflow tanks.

Re: Coolant Overflow Tanks
Yes, I have one of those bags on my 63 1/2 Comet. It is connected to the windshield washer pump and my 66 had a molded plastic container that held the washer fluid. Tell me what 60s Ford cars had stock overflow containers.

Re: Coolant Overflow Tanks
Why weren't "overflow" tanks stock. My stock brandy new 66 Cyclone GT didn't have one and neither does my 63 (originally a 260) with a 289/302 have one. They were designed to seek their own level. Yup, if you race they are required.
