Car Covers
Due to lack of garage room I'm going to have to store my 65 outside for a while. What car cover is the best to keep out moisture, etc? Online prices and reviews are all over the place so I thought I would ask those with actual experience in these matters.

Re: Total Control Products (TCP) Rack and Pinion Steering Un
Just to report back. I went ahead and bought this TCP rack and it is awesome. I now have a tight turning radius again (stop to stop) and this thing is built like a beast. Steering is very responsive and just the way I wanted. I put it on a bump steer gauge and it had no bump steer at all just as I h...

Re: Left rear Quarter trim that goes around the wheel well -
Does anybody know if the 4 door and 2 door versions of the above needed trim piece are the same? I have potentially found one located out of state but is is on a 4 door car.
Thanks,

Left rear Quarter trim that goes around the wheel well -1965
Looking for the Chrome trim piece for a 65 Caliente that goes on the driver side rear quarter around the wheel well. I had a loose wheel incident that tore mine up.
Thanks!

Re: Total Control Products (TCP) Rack and Pinion Steering Un
As mentioned the stock steering is no longer with the car so that isn't an option. Thanks for the input so far everybody!

Total Control Products (TCP) Rack and Pinion Steering Unit
Anybody have any experience using a Total Control Products (TCP) Power Rack and Pinion Steering Unit on a 65 model? I currently have a Unisteer unit installed and it is plum awful and needs to go ( I am now a master at the 3 point turn!). This TCP unit is very expensive and I want to make sure it is...

Re: 65 dash gauge bezel
Here is a cheap alternative that I used (Yes I know the purist's will slap me for this). Just buy the 65 Mustang Bezel which can be had for about 40 bucks and looks brand new because - well it is!. You gauges will bolt right into it as well as the bezel into your dash. The only modification I had to...

Re: Shackle bushing size
I found the Moog ones on Amazon Prime for $9.97 (set of four with free two day shipping). Interestingly enough they say these will not fit a 1965 Comet when you punch in that vehicle. There seems to be a ton of confusion out there as to what these 65 Comets actually use! https://www.amazon.com/gp/pr...

Re: Shackle bushing size
Poboy, Yes those are the ones I need - Thanks for finding those! Glad to see someone actually posting the dimensions of what they are selling. So will it cause any issues to use the smaller bushings on the top and the larger ones in the springs if everything still fits tight? Thanks everybody for yo...

Re: Shackle bushing size
Well, That the same situation I am in - Small bushings on top and large bushings on the leaf springs. I did order these shackles as specific to a 1965 Comet and when I emailed the company back about it they asked me if my car was a Comet or a Caliente...lol. They then changed their website to read "...

Shackle bushing size
Ok, got my new leaf springs on my 65 hardtop and go to install the new stock rear shackles I ordered. The new upper rubber bushings that attach to the car are too big for mine - about 1-3/8" outside diameter). My existing shackles had smaller bushings just a hair under an inch in diameter but everyw...

Is something Missing Here?
1965 2 door hardtop - When I sit inside the car a certain way I can see daylight coming through the door near the rear quarter window. I think I might be missing a piece of rubber or something. What (if anything) goes in the area circled in red in the attached picture? If nothing goes there is there...
