I found it NOS at Green Sales Company via Rear Counter.
<Sigh> I had typed in the part number with dashes previously... and when I removed them Rear Counter found two sources (Green Sales and Dennis Carpenter).

1965 Parking/Emergency Brake Cable Clamp (B5A-2857-A)?
My search far/wide has come up empty... perhaps one of you can help... Anyone know where I can find the parking/emergency brake cable clamp that is affixed to the inner firewall (below the pully wheel)? (I don't demand NOS but a new part would be great - though I would also welcome a good condition ...

Re: new dual master cylinder install
Have you tried bleeding the system using the pedal method and the vacuum method at the same time? That is what it took to get the last air bubble out of mine. No, I have not... I didn't realize there was such a procedure. I have avoided stepping on the pedal when the pressure bleeder is strapped on...

Re: new dual master cylinder install
...I bled the system using multiple methods, vacuum, pressure, foot pumping, etc. the system still seemed to have air trapped somewhere. Finally after much frustration I removed the combination valve and replaced ot with an adjustable proportioning valve and a 2lb residual check valve in the front ...

Can the parking pawl, shaft, spring and gear be replaced via the rear tail housing (or must the main case be exploded as well)?

Re: Power Brakes on '65s - Factory Install?
I do remember that the firewall hole for the PB location was rather butchered. Yea, mine certainly is. Which is why I started this thread - just curious to know whether every 9" Booster car has the same gangly "figure 8" dually hole mine has hacked into it. Pure speculation but I think the 9" boost...

Re: Power Brakes on '65s - Factory Install?
you could get power brakes factory installed in 1965, i have sold a couple off parts cars. Thanks Barry! I think I am correct in asserting that finding the system on a car isn't necessarily definitive evidence that the system was installed by the factory, eh? Those could have been installed by the ...

Power Brakes on '65s - Factory Install?
The 1965 Mercury Master Parts Catalog describes Power Brakes as a Kit under Accessories (i.e. not described as original equipment but only as an accessory kit). Does anyone know for certain whether the factory ever installed the Power Brakes Kit in the 1965s... or was this exclusively a post-assembl...

Re: Holley EFI Fuel Tank Module (Holly 12-305)
OK more information... I can't get Melvin's to answer their phone to I called Jeff @ Falcon Parts. I had just ordered a column shifter detent from them so I didn't feel so bad asking for some free advice... Jeff confirmed that (excluding wagons) the 64 Falcon exclusively had a 14 gallon tank, the 65...

Holley EFI Fuel Tank Module (Holly 12-305)
Has anyone attempted an install of the Holly EFI Fuel Tank Module (Holly 12-305) into a 1964 or 1965 coupe/sedan/vert (not wagon)? Holly stipulates that that unit "Fits 1964-1970 Mustang - 1960-1965 Falcon - 1967-1970 Cougar." I know enough to be afraid... the fuel tanks/senders on the 1964/5 Comet ...

Re: 66-69 2-Speed Wiper - Foot Pump Wiring?
Kevin I've been wondering about the speeds. did you ever finish your wipers? BTW above I asked about the 5th and 6th wires that appeared on some pumps. I speculate that those additional two wires are (only) present on two speed motor systems - I am guessing that w/out them the system would not acti...

Re: 66-69 2-Speed Wiper - Foot Pump Wiring?
Just consulted the Master Parts Catalog which proves me wrong.
Looks to me like the 1966 had two wiper motors. I believe the following is accurate:
C6GY-17508-A: Single speed motor "Use with intermittent system"
C6OZ-17508-B: Two speed motor "Use without intermittent system"

Re: 66-69 2-Speed Wiper - Foot Pump Wiring?
i dont know much about wiper motors, but my 66 caliente has 2 speeds one normal and one super fast. To my knowledge the 65 shipped only with a single speed motor. I don't know about 66 though I would have guessed it was the same (your report seems to prove my guess errant). I would have said your 66...
