Riddle me this one: What defines a Caliente? Is it trim, power options or what?

Ok, so i tried what you said and disconnected the negative terminal and slowly touched it back to the battery, and nothing happened... :( This is good news no need for sad face, sparks is bad news. In answer to your question about the black/red band wire, it look as if it's in the loom heading down...

Hey Tom the info is just what I was looking for, many thanks. The door beltline trim on the Australian Falcon Hardtop is 47 1/2" on a 47 7/8" long door so only about 1/2" difference there and the Comet 2-door beltline trim will fit perfectly with 1/8" of door showing at each end of the trim. Looking at the original post from olivj and the mention to Carb as, Tomco (Oreilys) replacement for the Autolite 1100. I'm guessing the engine is a straight-6 I can't see an Autolite 1100 coming off anything bigger than a 200ci.

To the best of my knowledge there is only one way to sort these issues out and that’s systematically from the beginning. Remove the valve/rocker cover and make sure piston 1 is up on the compression stroke, look in the sparkplug hole to see the piston is at the top and make sure exhaust and intake r...
