So true, Joe! That grille even made a few Lincoln SUVs look good (relatively speaking, no SUV really looks "good").
That grille would be perfect for a retro-Comet based on the Coyote Mustang, but we will never see that.

Re: Leaf Spring Input
I can't comment on the Eaton springs as I am not familiar with them, but I am happy with mine from General. They are stock replacements and work as they should.

Master cylinder pushrod length
Everyone probably knows this already, but I just learned that if the adjustable master cylinder pushrod is a tad long, the brakes will work fine for a couple of stops, but the pressure in the calipers does not fully release each time. Around the 5th or 6th stop, the calipers won't release at all. Yo...

Re: Hello from a newb with a Falcon
Welcome! I love the early Falcons. I was actually looking for a 63 Falcon when I stumbled onto my Comet.

Dydaktix- I will give you the Granada brakes from my 63. Take the money you would have spent on a disc brake kit and buy 5 lug wheels Problem solved

Re: Crankcase oil leak
The one time I forgot to check the old filter to make sure the gasket didn't stay on the block is the one time I needed to check. I started my engine and sprayed 5 quarts of Mobil 1 everywhere. This was in the mid-90s when Mobil 1 was 5 or 6 times the cost of conventional oil. Every o...

I posted a "Granada" brake set with master cylinder in the classifieds. Free if you can pick it up.

Re: All Ford Swap Meet
Ah the good ole days. I spent a summer in GA when I was a kid. I remember a girl driving a green GT500 KR to school like it was just another Honda Civic.

Re: All Ford Swap Meet
I think you are right about the cars and parts that will be there. The one time I went it was mostly Fox body stuff. I expect it will be that and Coyote stuff this time. All I need is for one guy to show up with a 68 or 69 pitman arm and I am good :D One thing I am confident about, there won't be an...

Re: 260 Shelby
That is a nice engine bay right there!
I gave away a perfectly good 260 because I found a 331 for less than what it would cost to make power out of the 260. Probably not a smart decision but at least the 260 went to a good home.
