Re: Bench Test a Cyclone Tach
Thanks for your reply barrys65cyclone. The common denominator in both responses is I need to do the electrical hook-up on a running car that has no multi-spark ignition system. I am guessing that if the car doesn't start, there is a problem with the tach. I was hoping there might be some other way t...

Re: Front Seats for 1964 Comet
Hi Joswald, Are you looking for a bench replacement or wanting bucket seats? Either way I'm sure bucket seats from any falcon will fit. (64 or 65) Not sure if Falcon had a bench seat. A bench seat from the 64 Comet Caliente, 404 or 202 will work. 65 and 66 Mustang buckets will probably fit as well. ...

Re: Rack and pinion "upgrade" . . . . . ?
Hi Fred, Thanks for the info but WOW!!! That's a hell of a lot of money for an outer tie rod. If you are seeing the part listed from Melvin's in Georgia that I'm seeing. Being from Canada, you may as well double the $115.00 cost by the time it gets to my door. However, the part information doesn't g...

Re: Rack and pinion "upgrade" . . . . . ?
Dan,
Thanks so much for the information. I'll be giving them a call. As for the Chassisworks rack, it is expensive but it is a high quality piece. I haven't installed it in the car yet but even if it was, I still have this tie rod issue to sort out to hook it all up. Thanks again Dan.

Re: Rack and pinion "upgrade" . . . . . ?
Sassy, further to your question regarding the 65 tie rod ends I believe the smaller 7/16" stud is for the 1965 V8 spindle. The larger 1/2" stud is for the 64 V8 spindle. I am not sure whether the supplier of my tie rod end kit is aware of this difference. I unpacked the tie rod end box that came wit...

Re: Rack and pinion "upgrade" . . . . . ?
I've purchased the manual rack system from Chassisworks a short while back. I'm in the process of removing the current power steering components from my 64 Cyclone. I went with the manual rack because i wanted to get rid of all the leaky, dripping power steering pieces from under the car and lose so...
