Well I’m not sure what you mean by esoteric? They may be rare or specialized, but Clearly the 1964 Hipo comets were produced and sold as special order through the DSO,
The example I have in possession is proof of that, and hopefully will find a new owner next month

Re: Original hipo cyclone
Well I’m any case Mercury seemed to give the comet 289 more attention then the ford side. The HIPo got transistorized ignition, a comet only distributor, and an alternator. However they totally ignored doing anything to the exhaust manifolds....

Re: Toploader conversion from 3 speed
.tom cruz at delta bay mustang in brentwood california has a lot of that stuff, and i think he had a 64 falcn wagon with a bench seat at one time out there for referrnce. In any case he has a lot of falcon performance parts that no one else makes.

427 sohc value
So I'm thinking about putting my sohc motor up for sale but I'm not sure what they're going for now. It's a Holman moody crate motor, missing the carb and alternator, all original, only test fired, but no run time. If anybody has an opinion on its value id like to hear them
Thanks
Thanks

Re: FLYWHEEL
Well for sure id go with what they reccomend, just out of curiosity, whar kinda power are you going to be makeing
Re: 221 v8
Yeah pop, the scarcity of the 221 is really why id like one. I need another engine on a stand like i need a hole in the head! But im a huge 289 fan and collect parts for them, and have a 260 and thiught it would be neat to hve a 221 complete just to have to line of engines through 289.

Re: What is the better suspension system?
What do you plan on doing with the car?? The original suspensions were pretty good, so just rebuilding with a nee steering box, and high end shocks and stabilizer bars will be a great driving and hndeling car. I used to open track alot and youd be suprised what some of the stock suspensions can do i...
