Re: New from Northern BC 63 S22 convert 260
Well, front end stripped, fenders removed. No rust. Tiny bit of bondo front corner DS fender.
Splash aprons need replaced. Suggestions? Been looking at mustang repops from dynacorp.
Toe boards good.

Update Re: New from Northern BC 63 S22 convert 260
Well, I have to figure out how to modify pics to upload, but since the car was bought it has been a busy summer. Finally had the car delivered early august, and started the tear-down. The car is about stripped. The engine ready to pull, trim off, interior out, top off, grill and lights off, etc etc....

Re: what are the correct wheels? 63 s22
So I have bought three rims that are 13"x4.5 5-lug.
Now am thinking 15" or 16" 5-lugs for back end. With centres that will accommodate same poverty caps.
I might resto-mod this car (s-22 Convert), so am thinking bigger rear tires and skinnies up front....

Well, can decode castilian GoldS22 convertible. No idea what 938 or Mk stands for. 578200 seems to be the production serial number.

Re: 63 S22 wheel & tire size
I ws really thinking about origin al wheel size, so am guessing by what I have read that 13x4.5 5 lug is the way to go? How far from getting car home? I discovered it in a shed two doors down from where we live (!?!). We move this month a mile away, so will pull it out of the shed then and into our ...

what are the correct wheels? 63 s22
I have a 63 S22 260 convert.
The original wheels are long since gone.
So, just to be sure, as I go out to replace with originals, what are the correct FoMoCo wheels for the car, and what would be a good tire? Radial WW are what I have in mind....is a 5 lug car.

I am a school teacher in Northern BC Just bought a 63 S-22 Convertible 260 (Canadian car). Have lots of questions - decoding data plate/vin codes/body tag.... Am familiar with Falcons, owned a 63 and a 60 Frontenac, so not entirely new territory, but it has been a while since I have had an early 60'...
