Radiator for 64, L6 engine.
My son and I are having a heck of time trying to find the original radiator and dimensions on a 64, 404 model, 170 L6. We don't have the original radiator and we purchased one a while back from radiatorexpress.com and had to remove the original mechanical fan, and go to an electric fan to make it wo...

Remove Exhaust Manifold without pulling engine???
64 comet straight 6. One of the bolt heads on the exhaust manifold is broken off and my son would like to remove the manifold to replace the bolts. Any chance this thing can be removed without pulling the engine?

Re: Holy Geometry.
Nevermind. After doing just a hint of research, I see that when they get old, they get brittle and you have to buy a new one anyway. Turns out, you do fold the new one to get it it. I really should do the research first before I post questions that make me look like an idiot.

My son and I are finally going to tackle the heater core for our 64 comet 404. However, step 1 is removing the glove box. I can't figure out the geometry of getting the glove box interior out without destroying it. Looks like I need a new one anyway but, would I be able to get the new one in without...

Re: Remove power steering hose at control valve.
Another question from a newbie. Once I change out the lines, I'm assuming I need to bleed the system. Not sure exactly how to do that. Anyone out there want to clue me in?

Re: Remove power steering hose at control valve.
Now my screen name makes sense and I'm a little embarrassed. Turns out, you have to turn the wheel to get more room. Ugh.

Remove power steering hose at control valve.
It's a 1964 404 model (inline 6). How in the world do you do it? Looks just like a metal brake line so I'm assuming a flare nut wrench but, I don't the geometry of how to get the wrench on there and be able to turn. Do I have to remove a ton of stuff to do it? We have a break in the rubber portion o...

Hard brake pedal
Long time reader, first time asker. My son and I have been playing with a 64 404 with an inline 6 and manual brakes. Anyway we got the car, the brakes were locked up. So, we changed all the springs and pads on the drum brakes, changed all of the wheel cylinders, changed out the master cylinder, chan...
