Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
Hey all------------Happy new year! I have hit the wall on my build in early December. I decided to take about 6 weeks off and enjoy the holidays and my family. It has been a great break and I am getting ready start back working on my build. Here are a couple photos showing where I am at currently. T...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
I have a question for you guys with Classic Auto Air remodeled into your cars. Where did you mount the digital control box? I am building out my dash and have the evaporator mounted and I am following the instructions. There is no mention of a suggested place to mount the small box and it is next up...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
I set the car down off the rotisserie. I ran the front hard lines, had to buy a new front distribution block as I could not fine the original on my bag&tag collection. I decided to mock up the MC and connect all the lines so it was done. Gas tank install and brake/fuel line connections in rear of ca...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
Lou, I used the CSRP kit for my brakes. I am thinking of using Cragar wheels but haven't made the decision yet. I have a cad program I use to choose the wheel size and backspace for selecting wheels. It worked well for me on my Barracuda. The strange thing is that CSRP says their kit works with the ...

Re: Lou's 65 Comet Build
Lou your car is truly breathtaking. I bought a 25" big block radiator for my Comet and the vendor I bought it from painted the whole thing black for me at no charge. I had worries about cooling the 347 stroker earmarked for the build. Your build is an inspiration for me. It shows how to do it right....

Re: Root's 64 Cyclone Build
Rootsy thanks for posting the photos. I am at the same spot in my current build. Looking at your photos it appears that you have two residual valves in the circuits. A fixed Willwood unit for the rear and the adjustable unit for the front. Am I correct in that assumption? I want to run my hard lines...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
I decided to build out the suspension and brakes while it was on the rotisserie for ease of work. Man, that does make it easy! Below is a bit of an edited version of how it went. I didn't use any of the original parts. Everything is new aftermarket and took me three days to install to this point. I ...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
Last minute mod on front suspension. I installed the opentracker camber mod kit for our cars while on the rotisserie. It stopped production while I installed it but now I can start installing the front suspension---------------that will be my next series posted---------- https://i.postimg.cc/KYG7BxT...

Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build
Macs or ecklers should have it. I moved my battery to the trunk and fabricated a box to install all my terminal posts and relays-ect.Joe Travers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 2:49 pmHey Doug!
Went back looking over some of your first work.
Where in tarnation did you find battery box apron for your car? I can't seem to find one online

Re: Root's 64 Cyclone Build
Looking through your thread again today, I like the work you are doing. Working on a rotisserie is just the best. Mine is in color and back in my garage ready for the next thing. I decided to build out the suspension at both ends while it is on the rotisserie, makes it so much easier. I was ready to...

Re: 65 steering box ?
John: yeah, I didn't want to start a thing, just asking. Need to buy wheels & tires so I was researching those threads. I saw a response of a guy who said he had it. It is on my mind because preparing for assembly I discovered that there is a camber kit available that is new since I bought my stuff....

65 steering box ?
I am putting a borgeson PS conversion on my 65 Cyclone with manual steering. It appears that my pittman arm has a smaller diameter mount than the 1" sector shaft on the borgeson box. The arm slides on fine but does not sit deep enough on the sector shaft. Did the early manual boxes have smaller sect...
