I went with Patriot mid length headers because of the rack and pinion steering shaft and I didn't want the collectors underneath. Really happy with them.

Order one from classiccarwiring,com . i got one for my 64 . They cost $18.95 and are laminated and are in color so you can easily trace each wire.

In my 64 the steering components were at the back of the engine so it had a front sump pan. When I installed the mustang II suspension I had to change to a rear sump because the steering is under the front of the engine.

I was doing the same thing, looking for the threaded rubber nuts that hold the faux wood trim on my villager wagon. My son showed me how to use the google app which which you can take a photo and it will find things that look the same.Found out they were called well nuts and still in use today.

I ran into this problem when I installed the Holley EFI in my 64 Comet wagon. I opted to go with the Holley external pump and it has worked great. No regrets.
