The drum/shoe/slave/hardware kit I bought off Amazon is wrong and not going to work. Can someone give me some direction?

Looking at the pan gaskets on line, the number of bolt holes has me believing it’s a C4.

Can someone tell me if I have a Merc-O-Matic or a C4? Is there a way to determine by looking?

You were correct, my friend. The tube just pulls out and pushes back in. I wanted to make certain that it was blocked. It wasn’t.

If you remove the bolt from the tab that supports the tube, the tube will rotate were it enters the case. Can I just pull it out? The trans is in the car and there’s very little room to work within the floor tunnel

No, not the dipstick tube. That’s on the right side. This is on the left side.

How does it connect to the trans body? There’s a bolt that attaches to a clip about midway on the tube. That I see, but, is the tube end just “snapped” in? I hesitate to horse it off not understanding the connection. (I’m concerned that it could be blocked.)

I’m not active enough on Facebook to be savvy to it’s nuances. I accidentally did that “is it still available?”, yet he still responded.

Yes it is. I contacted him and I’m going to take a look on Saturday morning. I’ve no intentions of buying it. But, I figured I might be helpful to someone who may be interested. I’ll try to get some more photos. Anything in particular you’d like to have me check out for you?
